" I dropped him off that morning and he was pouting."
"My son Mark attended your
Biology Lab Intensive. He's in 8th grade and hasn't been
especially interested in science. I asked him if he wanted
to attend your intensive and he said no. I told him he was
going to because we needed to get his labs done and this was
a good way to do that."
"I dropped him off that
morning and he was pouting. I picked him up that afternoon
and he talked incessantly on the way home (this is my quiet
child). It not only amazed me that he was so excited about
science but that he loved doing this all day for two solid
days. That kind of excitement in a child brings so much joy
to a mother's heart. He also loved your 'real life lessons'
talk. Thank you so much Greg for your ministry to our
children!"
Beth (a grateful mom)

"As a first time Homeschooler
for my 9th grade daughter our first home school activity
aside from starting the curriculum in July to do a "test
run" was the Landry Academy Bio lab intensive these last two
days in Williamstown NJ. Knowing that my daughter is
passionate about animals and wishes to Major in the field we
were excited and nervous about our first stop in our
homeschooling journey. She had a blast!! Did blood analysis
and experiments, dissected a frog, worm and gave 'Birth" to
sheep from a uterus plus more...( better her than me) The
people were friendly and we enjoyed our stay in
Williamstown. .. definitely looking to do it again next
year. As for us, my daughter loved the experience. We will
definitely join in the
Chemistry labs next year."

Greetings Parents and Students,
As a former college professor and
homeschool dad, I'm passionate about seeing that "light" in
students eyes when they have experienced how cool science is. God is glorified
as we explore His Creation in depth.
Our Physical
/ Life Science, Advanced Prep for Science / Medical Majors, Biology
/ Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, Physics, and Advanced
Biology Intensives are led by a teachers who love the Lord,
have expertise in their area, and are passionate about teaching
young people. Students will do hands-on labs, many of them
beyond the scope of what most private and public school students ever
experience.
They will also learn to write college-quality
lab reports and to think critically as a scientist. They'll
work hard, laugh, talk about serious topics, have fun, and
finish the two lab intensive with a jam-packed lab
manual representing their work.
Parents may issue school credit for these as they deem appropriate.
These Science Lab Intensives each cover a school year of labs for that subject. Regardless of which intensive(s)
they attend, students will spend two action-packed,
knowledge and skill building days in a caring, fun,
Christ-centered
environment.
Please don't hesitate to
contact us if you have questions.
In His Service,
Greg

Please Note..
è
It doesn't matter if students attend a lab intensive
before, during, or after they take the class for that
subject.
è Appropriate
background information is presented prior to and during each
lab that is performed. When taking a class after attending our
lab intensive, the
class material will be much easier to comprehend - because
they already understand the application of what they're
learning in classes. For students who have taken a class prior to our
lab intensive, these labs
will bring their book knowledge to life.
èThe
labs we include in our intensives are appropriate for
students using any textbook or curriculum for that subject.
èAll
lab supplies, instruction, lab manual, etc. are included in
the fee for the lab intensive.

for registered students only. However, because of the nature
of this intensive (lots of information and strategies that
students / families need to prep for medical / science
majors and careers), one parent is
encouraged (but not
required) to attend with the student at no additional
charge.
- Length: 1 Day, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Students should bring a brown bag lunch. We will
provide a morning and afternoon snack. We're sorry, but we
are not able to provide snacks for special dietary needs.
Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites.
Suggested Student Grade Range: 7th - 12th (one
parent is also encouraged to attend this intensive with
their child)
Professor: Greg Landry, M.S.
What is provided to students:
As part of this Intensive each student will receive a
manual, t-shirt, apron, and all the supplies
needed.

The Genesis of this Intensive
(and why it's information & experience
you need)
Greg Landry is a homeschool
dad and former college professor. He was director of a
university gross anatomy (cadaver) lab and taught Advanced
Human Anatomy & Physiology to pre-med students for years. He
has counseled hundreds of pre-med and other science major
students, and hundreds of high school level homeschooled
students on how to prepare for medical and science majors
and careers. Not just "status quo" preparation but
preparation that sets them apart in many ways to stand above
the crowd, reach their goals, and walk out their God-given
calling.
This intensive enables students / families to
benefit from Greg's years of experience and expertise, and
to successfully navigate the often difficult journey of
reaching their medical / science major and career goals.
Who should attend this intensive?
7th - 12th grade students interested in these
college majors or careers..
College Majors
- Pre-Med
- Pre-Vet
- Pre-Physical Therapy
- Pre-Dental
- Nursing
- Pre-Physician Assistant
- Athletic Training
- Exercise Science
- Nutrition
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- etc.
Careers
- Medicine (Medical Doctor)
- Veterinary Medicine
- Dentistry
- Physical Therapy
- Nursing
- Physician Assistant
- Exercise / Rehab Professional
- Science Teacher
- Science Researcher
- Athletic Trainer
- etc.

What's Covered?
- 4 things that every 7th - 12th
grade homeschooled student should be doing now to help
assure high school years that lead to college acceptance,
successful college undergraduate and post-graduate years,
and ultimately to your God-given calling and career. Yes,
what you're doing right now can ultimately affect your
college years and career.. for better or worse.
- 3 mistakes that almost all
homeschooled high school students make - these are
detrimental to your college years and ultimately to your
career.
- The single mistake that 80% of
new science-major college students make - it's often
detrimental to their post-graduate years and thus their
career.
- The critical importance of
correctly understanding the
scientific method and lab reports - and how to use this
knowledge to stand out above the crowd of students applying
to post-graduate schools. I'll also show you how to prepare
and critique college-quality lab reports.
- What you need to know about the
ACT and SAT and a common misconception that will lead to
many problems.
- We'll do question and answer
sessions.
- What makes you different from
the tens of thousands of students applying for scholarships
and post-graduate schools? You'll learn what the critical
factors are.
- Advanced dissections and
techniques that will put you in the top 5% of students in
college.
- We'll discuss how to relate to
your college professors and peers in college and beyond.
- Research and
experimentation details - how to stand out in college.
- Two things you can do that
committees who award scholarships love to see!
- We'll discuss science and
medical professions; the educational requirements,
compensation, types of work, pros and cons, etc. We'll also
spend time on your questions.
- And, last but not least, I'll
tell you cool stories and "real-life" lessons from a
university gross anatomy (cadaver) lab. For example, some of
my students were dissecting a cadaver and noticed something
shiny near the spinal cord. What do you think it was? :)
What do you think we found in the nasal cavity of a 70
year-old male cadaver that had probably been there for
almost 70 years? :) What characteristic have I seen in some
pre-med students that almost assures their success at
getting into medical school.

after the second day was if she could do another intensive.
Science in our household has been reinvigorated - thank
you!"
Jenny

"My children,
Logan & Taylor Baker, attended your science intensive for
Biology while you were here. Logan was so excited and Taylor
was the kicking and screaming one. She really never kicks
and screams, but her attitude was not one of complete
willingness. Anyway, they both thoroughly enjoyed the
experience and have continued to talk about it and show off
their "deliveries" to anyone who will look at them! Fun,
fun, fun!!! I love it:-)"

Physics Lab Intensive
Students will complete a full year of labs in two
intense days.
Suggested Student Grade Range: 10th - 12th
- Length: 2 Days. 9:00 am - 5:00 pm each day.
Students should bring a brown bag lunch each day. We will
provide a morning and afternoon snack. We're sorry, but we
are not able to provide snacks for special dietary needs.

- Students may commute from home
each day or families may find local accommodations.
- Prerequisites: Algebra I
- Suggested Student Grade Range: 10th - 12th
- Professor: Rob Walsman
What is provided to students: As part of
our Physics Lab Intensive each student will receive a
manual, Intensive t-shirt, all equipment and
materials needed, and two days of in-person instruction.

These Physics labs are designed to enable
students to understand basic principles of Physics while showing them how fun science can be. Students leave these two fun, but intense days, excited
about science!
We'll cover labs typically covered in one year of a
Physics course. The only prerequisite for this intensive is
Algebra I - Physics class is not a prerequisite.

- Students will also learn how to
prepare and critique college-quality lab reports
- Students will record their experiment data, graphs, etc.
in their lab manual
- Appropriate
background information is presented prior to and during each
lab that is performed. When taking a Physics class after attending our Lab Intensive, the
class material will be much easier to comprehend - because
they already understand the application of what they're
learning in classes. For students who have taken a Physics
class prior to our Lab Intensive, these labs
will bring their book knowledge to life.
One year’s worth of physics labs in two days taught
from a Christian worldview. State of the art technology in
educational lab equipment is used including electronic
motion, voltage & current sensors, and a photogate to
capture measurements directly in their computers for
analysis. Bringing a computer is strongly recommended since
students are instructed in the use of Microsoft Excel
(recommended, but OpenOffice Calc can be used) for data
analysis, graphing and the use of trend lines which entails
how basic algebra is useful in the laboratory. This course
intensive covers advanced high school physics concepts made
accessible to the average science student. A common comment
is, “Boy, I really learned a lot!”
-
The Effect of Compound Measurement Error
- Determining the Value of π Experimentally
-
Ohm’s Law, Resistance and Capacitance
-
Properties of a Pendulum
-
The Inertial Balance: A Method for Measuring Mass
without Gravity
-
Torque, Center of Mass and Levers
-
The Van de Graaff Generator and Static Electricity
- And much more!
